Why are you a caregiver?
I am an in home caregiver because I like helping people. In my line of work, I have run an Assisted Living Facility, done payroll, scheduling, passed medications, hired and fired staff, done urine tests; but of all the jobs I have done I like hands on care. After the end of my shift, I know did something to help someone in need. When I make someone smile and feel good, it makes me feel good.
What do you like best about caregiving?
Giving a helping hand—anyone can do other jobs, but it takes a special person to be a caregiver. No matter what kind of client I come across, I always take care of their needs. I put myself in their place and I would like to be treated nice and with respect. I do my job to please God, and when God is pleased so is my client.
