What home health services can you provide to my loved one?
EasyLiving is a licensed home health company (HHA#299992282), providing an array of services to keep your loved one safe, healthy and happy. Services range from transportation, companionship, meal preparation, errands and housekeeping to assistance with bathing, dressing and eating and medication management. Our staff can enhance your loved one’s quality of life by providing a safe environment in the comfort of their own home. Social isolation and lack of good nutrition are two primary factors in hospitalizations and nursing home placement, which we can help you avoid.
Does Medicare, Medicaid or insurance provide coverage for EasyLiving home health services?
Medicare and Medicaid do not cover our home care services. Medicare only provides limited, skilled home health services with very specific criteria. Visit www.medicare.gov for information on what Medicare covers. However, you may be reimbursed through your private insurance if applicable. If you have a long term care (LTC insurance) insurance policy, it will likely reimburse you for our home caregiver services and we can assist with that process.
How can we afford your home health services?
Home care services are a cost effective option as compared to unnecessary placement in a care facility. By keeping your loved one in their home provides a comfortable, safe and healthy environment, you can not only enhance their quality of life, but save thousands of dollars.
We offer competitive pricing, but most importantly we offer the highest quality services for a reasonable price. Being a fully licensed home health company, you get a great level of service and protection. Be wary of saving a few dollars using unlicensed home caregivers or homecare registry services which do not afford the same protection and oversight.
Why wouldn’t I just put an ad in the paper and find someone on my own?
Working with EasyLiving affords you several major advantages. First, we are a licensed and insured Florida home health agency, offering you a great deal of protection. If something should happen to one of our senior home caregivers while on the job, we provide worker’s compensation insurance and liability insurance. Anyone we send out to you is an employee of the company. We complete payroll, deducting the proper taxes so you do not get in trouble with the IRS. You may even be able to deduct these expenses as medical care, which you could not do if you were not properly following tax rules.
We also supervise our home health caregivers; deal with scheduling and backup if a caregiver is sick or unable to make it to work. We relieve family members of a great deal of stress and headaches trying to manage senior caregivers on your own. And, all of our employees are thoroughly screened, trained, and run through a thorough background check.
How much home health care does my loved one need?
We work with you, and can provide as little or as much home care (including 24 hours/day, 7 days/week) as needed. We start with an assessment and talking to you and your loved one to determine what you need. If you are unsure and want further assessment of your loved one’s needs and options, our sister company,
Aging Wisely provides Florida geriatric and disability care management and full assessment service.
I am going for outpatient surgery or just preparing to leave the hospital. How can you help?
We can make life a lot easier for you! We can pick you up and take you to surgery and home (or home from the hospital), pick up needed medications, and perhaps shop for you to stock your home with needed items. Then, we can make sure you get home and settled comfortable and can help you out while you recover. During that time, we can shop and cook for you and help with laundry and household chores so you can focus on recovering. You may be groggy after surgery and need someone to remind you to take your medications, which we can do. We can assist you getting in and out of bed, to the bathroom, and any other personal care needed. If you need rides to follow up appointments we can do that as well.
My Mom always loved going to the theater but she is very frail now and many of her friends are unable to assist her. I’d love to help her get back to her favorite activities including going to dinner and other cultural events, can you do this?
Our concierge/elite caregiver service is the perfect solution! Specially selected home caregivers with diverse backgrounds serve clients who wish to attend cultural events, charitable events, or a great evening on the town. These caregivers are home health aides, so if your Mom needs help to the restroom or assistance in and out of the car, they are trained to handle that, but they also go above and beyond in making events enjoyable. These elite caregivers know how to dress appropriately for events, proper etiquette, and have great conversational skills. They are often semi-retired individuals who have traveled, worked in a variety of fields, and often had similar life experiences to many of our clients.
What do your caregivers do if they are there while my Mom sleeps at night?
If you have nighttime home care, the caregivers are there to ensure your Mom’s safety and are alert and available should she need help. They can also do household tasks during that time such as laundry, ironing, or other quiet things that need to be done around the home. When we first meet with you, we will discuss the care needed and tasks that can be done to make best use of the assistance.
