Between the months of June and November hurricanes and tropical storms are very common. Hurricanes and tropical storms are formed when several different weather conditions occur simultaneously. A hurricane is a tropical cyclone with winds exceeding 74 mph, originating in the tropical regions of the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico. A tropical storm is a lesser form of a hurricane.
EasyLiving prepares a hurricane plan for each client. Our at home caregivers can assist in purchasing supplies and making sure the home is stocked with needed items. We work out an individualized hurricane preparedness plan for each client to help ensure their safety during a disaster ahead of time. Clients and families need to understand the seriousness of facing a storm, especially for the elderly, ill or disabled individuals. We take disaster planning very seriously, and encourage families and clients to do so as well.
