EasyLiving Expands to Meet the Needs of Today’s Seniors

New Director of Staff Development focused on personalized in-home care

Clearwater, Fla. (May 24, 2010) – Easy Living, Inc., a trusted provider of private duty home health care for residents of Pinellas county, today announced the appointment of Ric Cavanagh as Director of Staff Development. Cavanagh brings over 35 years of experience in elder services, medical social work and management to the expanding company, and is responsible for the training, oversight, and guidance of the caregiving team.

“We’re extremely fortunate to have a professional of Ric’s caliber join us at this time, when EasyLiving is experiencing such tremendous growth,” said Alex Chamberlain, executive director of EasyLiving, Inc. “As we hire more caregivers each week, it is essential that we have a team leader who can ensure that the quality and consistency of care we deliver our clients is always excellent. Ric’s superb track record and the trust he enjoys in our community makes him perfect for this important role.”

Easy Living, which serves clients in Pinellas and Pasco Counties, provides services such as transportation, light housekeeping, errands, household management, assistance with activities of daily living and hygiene, medication management and companionship.

Cavanagh completed his M.S.W. from St. Louis University and his B.A. in Social Psychology at Concordia College. In addition, he completed many hours of graduate work in Health Policy Analysis and Gerontology. Cavanagh served as an adjunct professor for many years at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. While at Webster, he developed their Master’s degree program in Gerontology, the first program of its kind in St. Louis. Prior to joining EasyLiving, Cavanagh was Care Manager for Aging Wisely, LLC and is a Certified Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias instructor.
