home health care accreditation

EasyLiving is proud to announce that our team achieved accreditation from ACHC*!

What is accreditation?

Accreditation is a process of review that healthcare organizations participate in to demonstrate the ability to meet predetermined criteria and standards of accreditation established by a professional accrediting agency.  Accreditation represents agencies as credible and reputable organizations dedicated to ongoing and continuous compliance with the highest standard of quality.

What is the process for home healthcare accreditation?

On-site surveys are conducted every three years by industry experts.  A comprehensive review is conducted of organizational structure, policies & procedures, compliance with federal/state/local laws, leadership, patients’ rights & responsibilities, fiscal operations, human resource management, provision of care, patient records, quality outcomes, performance improvement, infection control, and patient/employee safety.  At the time of survey, organizations demonstrate how they have maintained continuous compliance with the ACHC Standards for Accreditation.

What is ACHC?

The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), a national organization developed by homecare and alternate-site healthcare industry providers. ACHC is an independent, private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1986. The Association for Home & Hospice Care (AHHC) of North Carolina established ACHC to ensure quality, patient-focused, clearly written accreditation standards for in-home aide services.

ACHC has adopted a participatory approach to standards development that has resulted in a set of practical standards that promotes quality services and ensures optimum care for the patient.

Why does this matter if you are searching for home health care or senior home care for your loved one in Florida?

EasyLiving is dedicated to continued quality improvement, and accreditation is one way of showing that a home care company adheres to high standards on important measures. In addition to this accreditation, our entire mission is based on supporting our home caregivers to be their very best. We do a lot of things that are virtually unheard of in the industry, to stand above and beyond for our clients. This includes everything from the rigorous hiring and customized orientation process to in-home coaching visits, paid training and personalized careplans which are regularly updated to meet clients’ specific needs.

Most elders are hesitant to allow someone in to their home and the last thing you want is a disappointing or negative experience. We do our best to ensure our team is prepared so your experience is positive. The comment we hear most often is that everyone wishes they had brought in EasyLiving sooner.
