Investigating Florida Home Health and Assisted Living Options

Sep 22, 2011

The state of Florida regulates a number of different types of healthcare providers, care agencies and facilities through the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).  Florida has statutes and rules governing home health agencies, assisted living facilities, adult day care centers and more.  You may want to read our previous article about the different types of home health licensure and requirements in Florida.

AHCA does periodic inspections of home health agencies and cites any deficiencies in following the rules and providing care and administration in the required manner.  EasyLiving was reinspected in July 2011 and received a deficiency-free survey (i.e. no problems found).

All of the regulated healthcare and senior care providers are listed on the state’s website along with various resources at FloridaHealthFinder.gov.  To view EasyLiving’s listing, click here and go here for the inspection report copies.
