home health caregiver rewards
April 29, 2013–EasyLiving, Inc. announced its first “Inspirational Caregiver” award winner. This award is part of the company’s unique iCaRewards™ program, a set of initiatives designed to reward and recognize home caregivers.

To be selected as a finalist for this award, the caregivers must demonstrate a good work ethic, compassion and high quality caregiving skills including great communication. This month EasyLiving had five great finalists competing for the award: Sequoia Copeland, DeAngela Holloway, Donna LaGrande, Janet Scali and John Verel. Congratulations to all the finalists!

EasyLiving Caregiver Donna LaGrande

Donna LaGrand has been chosen as April’s Inspirational Caregiver of the Month. Donna has worked with EasyLiving since 2006 and demonstrates an excellent work ethic. As Donna states, “I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses”. Donna is the type of hard working caregiver who quietly sets an example for her team members with her contributions and dedication. Donna appreciates getting to know clients and making a difference to them.

That difference is reflected in the comments shared by the daughter of one of Donna’s clients, “Donna is very kind and respectful towards my mother. She is extremely attentive to her needs. What’s special about Donna is that she tries to make my mother have a great day, every day she is there, and that is not an easy task. We appreciate her and like her very much.” Donna knows the value of humor and often brightens her client’s day with a smile or laugh.

About the Inspirational Home Caregiver Award: EasyLiving will be selecting an Inspirational Caregiver each month from five finalists. Each finalist receives a $25 gift card and the winner receives $100. The winner is announced on the last Monday of each month on The Caregiver Hour radio show on Clear Channel 1250 AM WHNZ as well as being spotlighted on EasyLiving’s website and Facebook page.

About iCaRewards™: This program was designed as one way EasyLiving could further support its mission to create an environment where we set our team members up for success empowering them to provide the best in home care to the community. iCaRewards is a unique program in which caregivers are rewarded for all the great things they do. Caregivers earn points for everything from referring a friend to attending a training or getting a “kudos” sticker from a home health care client on a timesheet. Points can be redeemed for great prizes. The program also includes encouraging communications, a strong educational component and fun events. It is one of EasyLiving’s initiatives designed to improve the caregiver employee’s work environment and thus the delivery of high quality home health care services.
