Pearl Harbor Day Remembrances 2016

Early this month, before the usual holiday events, you may want to participate in Pearl Harbor Day events. There are a few options around Tampa Bay. Check your local community and VFW halls for more.

On Saturday, December 3rd the SS American Victory will sail to honor the men and women who have served our country. In cooperation with Honor Flight, this fundraiser cruise is dedicated to the remembrance of Pearl Harbor and our veterans. Hundreds of military service people, their families, local residents and visitors will enjoy music, entertainment, military services and local fare while sailing Tampa Bay aboard the American Victory Ship, one of only four operational WWII merchant steamships in the country.

Purchase tickets in advance at ticketweb.com or by calling 1-866-468-7630. Ticket prices are: $99 for adults; $69 for military/veterans; $49 for children ages 4-12 (group pricing is also available). Registration begins at 10 and the cruise sails from 11 AM-3:30 PM.

On Wednesday, December 7th, the Armed Forces Museum in Largo will hold an event commemorating the 78th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Call 727-539-8371 for more information.
