Jessie has a Masters of Social Work (MSW) and a B.A. in Psychology. She has over eight years of experience working in skilled nursing facilities with older adults and their families. Jessie also completed an internship in crisis services, doing mental health assessments, suicide risk evaluation and crisis intervention. Another internship involved working with and advocating for the homeless population.
As Director of Social Services in long-term care and Social Worker in sub-acute rehabilitation, she coordinated care plans, discharge plans and numerous services to ensure the best results for patients. Along with communicating with patients and families, Jessie was responsible for proper documentation and communication among care team members. She helped patients complete Medicaid applications and navigate their options. Another important aspect of her work was facilitating family meetings and advocating for patients. Together with helping patients access services and address concerns, she provided psychosocial support as patients faced challenges and transitions.
Jessie brings this wealth of experience, skills and compassion to her work at EasyLiving. She uses the expertise acquired working in skilled nursing facilities to help families through difficult transitions and make the process as smooth as possible. Her clients can see Jessie’s passion for getting to know and understand the older adults she assists.
Jessie was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY and relocated to Clearwater to enjoy time in the sun and continue her career helping elders. She enjoys yoga and hiking. You’ll often find her spending time with her dog and cat or out trying new restaurants.
