A medium-sized business got a big-deal award last night: EasyLiving is the proud recipient of the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Medium Business of the Year award.
“I started EasyLiving because I am passionate about providing the best care for our elderly and disabled community,” said Alex Chamberlain, Executive Director for EasyLiving. “I worked in the industry; I knew I could do it better, and this award–along with positive feedback from our clients–is proof we’ve done just that.”
The award is considered to be very competitive in the Clearwater business community, and EasyLiving was one of many highly-qualified businesses to be considered a finalist. In order to participate, businesses “must demonstrate a three-year track record of best practices in business sustainability and growth, commitment to employees and community involvement.” The business-owner must also be a Chamber member.
“The Clearwater business community is phenomenally supportive.” Chamberlain said regarding why the Clearwater Chamber award means so much to him and his business. “I think people may see Clearwater in a certain way, that it’s for retirees and vacationers, but it’s a terrific place to live and play, and there’s a great growth and opportunity for business, as well.”
Today’s celebration at EasyLiving headquarters started with an explanation from the team’s Director of Operations, Deniz Curler, on why she thinks they won: “We provide customer service like no one else. When we say we are here to help, we mean it. We’re available 24 hours, and we always answer the phone or return that call. We answer questions. We solve problems. In a time when companies are lacking in customer service, we excel.”
